Great app but lyrics not showing

Lyrics not showing on any songs

Suggestion

This is a great app; it allows you to easily sort your music in a variety of ways that Apple Music doesnt support. There is one thing that I would like to suggest, however, that I was hoping the app would have already. I feel that it would be very helpful if you could filter out certain artists, albums, songs, etc. that you didnt want to hear if you were to shuffle or play through your music. For example, I have a video game soundtrack that, when shuffling through music, I dont want to have come on and is hard to avoid because it has hundreds of songs on it. If I could filter out the album, that would amazing.

Poor genre browsing

For me this is no better than the IOS9 abomination. I cannot filter first on genre, then on artist, and finally on album. Like the terrible IOS9 music app I can choose only from a list of album titles within a genre, or album titles within an artist. It is at least less ugly and less difficult to use than the IOS9 app but I am still lacking a music player that does what I want.

Great!

Still the best, simplest, clearest, easiest to use app for playing music since Apple screwed up the Music App with the change to iOS 7. Once I had Picky I never touched the Music app again. The developer is a really nice guy and responds quickly to comments. Just get it.

Missing genres

There is no support for viewing by genre. The app looks nice, but without genres it is completely worthless to me.

Best Alternative to IOS Music App!!

Cant speak highly enough of this app. Been using it for years as an alternative to the standard IOS Music App. Specifically, my favorite feature is how the app shows the overall list of artists, songs and albums. On my screen I can see at least 9 different artists at a time as I scroll, making it much easier and faster to find what I want to listen to. Having the album artwork showing next to the artist name is also a nice touch. Bravo Picky!

Forces you to pay $3 for your iPhone and then $5 more for your iPad

I just purchased this app on my iPhone only because I wanted a player that could list all the artists songs in one page sorted by album and this does that (not obvious but it does). I purchased much nicer music apps but this one is the only one I have found that accomplishes that. However, when Im going to download it to my iPad with the same iTunes account, the app for the iPad is sold separately and costs $5. I already paid $3 for the iPhone, why do I have to pay another $5 to use it in my iPad?

"You had one job"

I really wanted to like this app. I am amazed at how difficult it is to find a good music player on iOS. Apple has totally demolished theirs, so I decided to try this one. Everything about it is great, except that it is buggy beyond belief. It constantly plays the wrong song, or no song at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the problem persists. Bummer....

Essential replacement for iOS music app

As the iOS music app continues to become not so much a music player as a marketing gimmick intended to get people to join Apple Music and buy music from the ITunes Music Store, Picky becomes more and more essential as a elegant, easy to use music player for music lovers who have extensive music libraries. Great app and friendly, helpful developer. Get it!

Was a 5, still broken after many months

Trying to find out why it is having so many problems now. It plays the wrong song when I click on a song to play, but usually plays the same wrong song, and then the app locks up. I have to close it and go to the Apple Music player to stop the wrong song playing. Other apps have no problem playing my music, and play the Slackstring song just fine. For example, I click on a particular Slackstring song, and it plays Nirvana All About a Girl, every time. Will not play the Slackstring song ever. Playlist not now working properly either. I have deleted Picky and reinstalled and also removed and reinstalled all my music collection from scratch. This was around the same time as the Apple Music update, which I have disabled to sync.

My go-to Music app.

Annoyed at the iOS music app? Miss the feel of the old iOS6 music app? Look no further! Picky is the music player youve been looking for. It organizes all my artists albums without displaying all the pesky song titles along with it. No more unnecessary scrolling through song titles to find that specific album. Picky also has the ability to hide all that annoying iCloud music so only the music that plays is the music I added. Good riddance! No more random streaming of old purchased iTunes music that I do not want to see or hear. Hooray! Spend that dollar and enjoy the convenience of this awesome organized music app.

Have to pay twice if you want iPad support

Nice replacement for stock music app, but having to pay twice for iPad support is lame. While most apps have gone the universal app route, this one has done the opposite. If I have to pay again for iPad support, Id much rather buy a different app altogether that supports both.

Do not buy

This app has many problems on my iPhone 6 iOS 9.1. it does not play songs in order; it shows wrong song playing; it randomly turns shuffle on; I turn it off, it turns it back on. Dang I had high hopes.

Great music player with a responsive developer!

This music player is a fantastic alternate to the built-in iOS music player. Kudos for the reverse sort on playlists! A unique feature that makes this the go-to app for folks with large playlists. Would still love to see album art on playlists for better visualization (instead of song numbers). A day/night setting based upon time would be helpful now that Apple has discontinued the light sensor. Very responsive developer who cares about this app. Buy it! Great app overall!

Fix it!

Still very buggy as others have noted. Starts on wrong songs, sometimes doesnt play a song at all... went from great to unusable.

Great music app for music lovers

I prefer to have my music on my phone rather than on Spotify, YouTube, etc., and Picky is a huge upgrade to the built-in music app. Wonderful for playlists, including on-the-go playlists. Love it.

Like the older IOS Music app!!

Finally back to the nice clean look that the older IOS Music app had. Can easily view all songs under an artist, instead of being forced to look at them by album under each artist. No more annoying "Recently Added" row of music at the top. LOVE THE SIMPLE LOOK AND FEEL!!!

Great, with slight reservations

Picky tries to be what the stock Apple app isn’t — clear, customizable, aesthetically-pleasing app that plays your music without the focus being on getting you to buy and store everything through Apple. At times, though, it’s been buggy — stuff used to take two tries to play a song — but that seems to have been fixed. The main thing I miss is the ability to play/sort by genre.

Finally, a good iTunes replacement!

Was so sick of the default music app getting less and less usable. Finally one that just plays my music and sorts as needed. Thank you!

Plays the wrong song!

Keep your $3, the intent of the app is great but it plays the wrong song which defeats the purpose!
